毒奶風暴搞得人心惶惶，國泰醫院小兒科主任林隆煌建議，母親哺乳對自己和寶寶都好，因為母乳營養成分高，遠勝嬰兒配方食品。研究也顯示，喝母奶的小孩較聰明、抵抗力強，至於餵母奶的媽咪，因代謝較快，有助於瘦身，也比較不容易得子宮頸癌、乳癌和卵巢癌。^p好萊塢女星安潔莉娜裘莉（Angelina Jolie）、潔西卡艾芭（Jessica Alba）等人，都擁護餵母奶，身材也都恢復得很曼妙；「翹臀珍」珍妮佛羅培茲（Jennifer Lopez）鐵齒不肯哺乳，產後8個月仍是虎背熊腰。
